Projek Kalsom : ウィキペディア英語版 | Projek Kalsom
''Projek Kalsom'' is a student led motivational camp organised by The Kalsom Movement every August in rural parts of Malaysia. It encompasses gathering talented and academically inclined high school students to participate in the motivational camp, as well as other programs the movement has recently established, such as the English Enrichment Programme and the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Workshop. On its 20th installment, Projek Kalsom collaborated with the Malaysian Students' Council of Australia (MASCA) to organise a Revisit Workshop, which ran in January over summer break for Malaysian students studying in Australia. Over 20 years, The Kalsom Movement has achieved incredible heights and carved its name all across the country in amplifying the importance of education equality, and is now endorsed by the Malaysian Book of Records as the longest student run motivational camp in Malaysia. ==Background of Organisation== ''Projek Kalsom'' is ran by an organisation known as ''The Kalsom Movement''. Initiated by four Malaysian students in the UK, they aimed to help Puan Kelthom Abdullah, a single mother living in the rural areas of Kelantan, Malaysia, to raise funds in order to bear the cost of her children's education. The movement was initiated in 1993, and has been ongoing until today ever since. Its genuine purpose to lend a helping hand to underprivileged students from rural areas has shone through all 20 year of its existence, and has attracted over hundreds of volunteers consisting of university students to join the cause and fight for education inequality.
